Kindergarten (K 1 & K 2)
The 2 year pre-primary programme has adapted its curriculum from Riverside school, Ahmedabad run by Ms. Kiran Sethi. It is a progressive curriculum with the basic premise of giving opportunity to children for self learning, making each minute valuable to help them reach their maximum individual potential. This programme recognizes each child as a unique and capable individual; it fosters creativity, encourages curiosity and love for learning. It allows for optimum growth and development in the following areas: Physical – both finer & gross motor skills, Self-Help/Hygiene, Social/Emotional, Language and Cognitive. These areas are addressed in a positive learning environment which promotes feelings of self-worth and success.
Primary and Middle School (Class I to VIII)
Although Primary education is the first step a child takes towards formal learning, the classes are nevertheless vibrant and stimulating. The teacher builds on the limitless capabilities of the child’s individuality making learning enjoyable. The curriculum develops skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. Working, listening, sharing and playing together are an important activity in Primary and Middle School. The school provides a planned sequential course of study including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Social Studies, Science and Computers. Gujarati and Sanskrit are offered as third language from class VI.
Secondary School (Class IX and X)
Moving into the Secondary section entails more organized study time for the students ensuring balanced academic activities in the school. The educational program shifts it’s focus on skill development through a meticulously planned curriculum in a stress free learning environment. The school advocates Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation with emphasis on holistic development. A variety of teaching methods are used in our classrooms to address different needs of the students through observation, experimentation, group discussions and project work. They are given opportunities to understand in a broader dimension to apply their knowledge to problem solving and decision making. The academic curriculum is enhanced by participating in Art, Music, Sports and other co curricular activities.
Sr. Secondary School (Class XI and XII)
The program for classes XI and XII prepares students to seek admissions in professional courses and Universities worldwide. In addition to regular academic courses, students are prepared for competitive examinations.
Besides developing basic concepts in each area, the CBSE curriculum of these classes is so planned that the learner acquires skills to apply theoretical knowledge in their day-to-day life and prepares him to be a life long learner. Projects and activities are an integral part of this curriculum. Teaching is done through lectures, projects, presentations, group discussions, workshops and seminars.
